Windows 365 simplifies the creation of a cloud desktop, making access easier for users. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) offers more configuration and control options, taking full advantage of Azure, although it is more complex to maintain.

How is Windows 365 billed?

Windows 365 follows a simple billing model, where each license has a monthly cost per user associated with a specific size of CPU, RAM, and storage.

Can I access Windows 365 without an Internet connection?

Currently, it is not possible to use Windows 365 without an internet connection, as it is a mandatory requirement. In the past, Microsoft has mentioned the possibility of releasing a Windows 365 Offline mode, but it is not available yet.

Do I lose my data if I cancel my Windows 365 subscription?

You will have a grace period provided by Microsoft so you can recover the data from your Cloud PC. However, we always recommend backing up all your information before canceling the subscription. Keep in mind that all your data stored in OneDrive will remain available and synchronized across all your devices.

Can I use Windows 365 to run high‑performance applications?

Yes, although you should first evaluate your application’s hardware requirements to determine how many CPUs and how much RAM you will need with your license. In addition, there are preview licenses optimized for working with advanced graphics.
